Interior Design Process

Stage 1: Consultation

When you request a site visit, BLUEPRNTS arranges for our Interior Designers to visit your site. This initial consultation includes:
  • Professional Space Analysis
  • Proposed Layouts
  • Design Moodboard
  • As-built Drawings Review
Note:
  • Clients with their own architectural drawings (CAD files) will not incur additional charges. If you do not have these files, we will need to draft and model the space for an additional fee.
  • The cost of architectural drawing redesign varies depending on project scope and location.

Stage 2: Layout Drawings & Conceptualisation

Once you approve the Space Plan Drawing, we create a detailed presentation featuring curated materials, furniture and design options. This detailed moodboard helps capture and refine your visual imagination for the space as well as give you the opportunity to chose the items and materials best suited to you.

Stage 3: 3- Dimensional Renderings

For clients who proceed to this stage, BLUEPRNTS will create detailed 3D renders based on the approved moodboard and architectural drawings. This stage allows you to select specific items before finalizing the design, helping to minimize changes during the execution process.

Stage 4: Project Execution/ Management

Upon approval of the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) created by our Quantity Surveyor, you can choose between:

1. BLUEPRNTS executing the project and managing all contractors, or
2. BLUEPRNTS managing the project to ensure the design is realized.

Stage 5: Project Delivery

Once the project is completed, our Creative Director, Lead Architect, or Interior Designer will conduct a final walkthrough with you. We will complete and sign a job completion form to mark the successful delivery of your project.

Architectural Design Process

Stage 1: Consultation

We start by getting to know you, your goals and your vision. During the initial consultation, we’ll discuss your project’s scope, budget, and timeline. We’ll also assess the site and gather any necessary information to understand your needs.

Stage 2: Conceptual Design

In this stage, we translate your ideas into preliminary design concepts. We’ll present initial layouts and 3D models of your building that capture the essence of your vision. This phase is all about creativity and exploration, ensuring that we align with your aesthetic and functional preferences.

Stage 3: Design Development

Once the concept is approved, we move into the design development phase. Here, we refine the initial concepts into detailed architectural plans. We’ll focus on materials, structural elements, and technical specifications, ensuring that every detail is planned and aligned with your vision. In this stage, a proper 3-Dimensional Rendering of your building will also be produced.

Stage 4: Documenting & Permitting

In this phase, we produce comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications. We’ll also manage the permitting process, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met. Our goal is to provide a seamless transition from design to construction.

Stage 5: Construction Administration

During the construction phase, we remain actively involved to ensure that the design is executed to the highest standard. We’ll work closely with builders and contractors, conducting site visits and addressing any issues that arise. Our commitment is to see your project through to successful completion, delivering a space that exceeds your expectations.

Welcome to BLUEPRNTS. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions govern your relationship with BLUEPRNTS.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services or website.

2. Services

BLUEPRNTS offers the following services:
  • Interior design consultation and implementation
  • Bespoke furniture design, production, and delivery
  • Architectural design and project management
All services are subject to availability, and BLUEPRNTS reserves the right to modify or discontinue any service at its discretion with prior notice.

3. Client Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of Information: Clients are required to provide accurate and complete information related to their project, including design preferences, budget constraints, and site details. BLUEPRNTS is not responsible for delays, costs, or damages arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client.
  • Site Access: Clients must ensure that BLUEPRNTS and its subcontractors have full access to the site during agreed working hours. Delays or additional costs resulting from restricted access will be the client's responsibility.
  • Approval of Designs: Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all design plans, specifications, and materials before production or construction begins. Once approved, any changes requested by the client may incur additional costs and extend project timelines.

4. Payments and Fees

  • Pricing: All pricing for services and products will be provided in a formal quotation. Pricing is subject to change based on project scope, material costs, and other factors. Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issuance.
  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of 70% of the total project cost is required to secure your booking and commence work. The deposit amount will be detailed in your project agreement.
  • Payment Schedule: Payments are typically divided into stages, including an initial deposit, progress payments, and a final payment upon project completion. The specific payment schedule will be outlined in your project agreement.
  • Late Payments: Late payments may result in delays to the project timeline and may incur additional fees. BLUEPRNTS reserves the right to suspend work until outstanding payments are received.

5. Furniture Delivery and Corrections

  • Defective or Incorrect Furniture: If any furniture delivered by BLUEPRNTS is found to be faulty or incorrect, BLUEPRNTS will correct the issue at no additional cost, provided that the defects are communicated within 7 days (1 week) of delivery.
  • Changes to Furniture: Any changes requested by the client to the furniture pieces after delivery will incur an extra charge. The cost and timeline for such changes will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: All design concepts, drawings, and materials created by BLUEPRNTS remain the intellectual property of BLUEPRNTS until full payment is received. Upon full payment, the client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the designs for the specified project.
  • Use of Designs: Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or use BLUEPRNTS' designs for any purpose other than the agreed project without written consent from BLUEPRNTS.

7. Warranties and Disclaimers

  • Service Quality: BLUEPRNTS is committed to providing high-quality services and products. However, all services are provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • Material Variations: Natural variations in materials (such as wood grain, color, texture) are expected and are not considered defects. BLUEPRNTS is not responsible for such variations in bespoke furniture or design elements.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Indirect Damages: BLUEPRNTS shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, that may arise from the use of our services.
  • Direct Damages: BLUEPRNTS' total liability for any direct damages arising from or related to our services will not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.

9. Termination of Services

  • Termination by BLUEPRNTS: BLUEPRNTS reserves the right to terminate services if the client's vision or requests are not in line with the governing building codes of the project location. Any termination of services will occur on mutually beneficial terms agreed upon by both BLUEPRNTS and the client.
  • Termination by Client: The client may terminate the agreement by providing written notice to BLUEPRNTS. Termination may result in the forfeiture of any deposits paid, and the client will be responsible for payment for any work completed up to the date of termination.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. The decision of the arbitrator(s) shall be final and binding.

11. Changes to Terms

BLUEPRNTS reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
